In addition, the South West champs date is set for 8th September but the venue will be subject to club application by 11th February. It will please some that Cornwall will not be applying this year. I'm sure I've read somewhere that the South West Champs will only be open to riders from within the Region who have a regional ranking but I'm sure someone else will correct this if it's wrong.

Fees for the Summer Series will be £15 for Novices and Experts with an additional bike levy of £10. Rankings and trophies will require 9 of the 10 rounds to be completed.

Teams participating in the regional team series will pay £50 to be entered.

I've been told the race fee is cheaper if you pre-reg (£12 + 60p for PayPal) and is £15 on the day. Just wondering, is regionals race fees the same in all regions?

Will there be a second bike or family discount?
Is some dispensation available at a price?

So in that case you will need to do 9 out of 10 rounds, to compete in the south west champs ??

In the National series you get a ranking with just 1 result.

Checked my info source and it was draft copy of AGM minutes; finalised copy not yet received. As I didn't go to AGM I don't know what details were discussed but as Ady says you'd normally get a ranking for only one round. I personally did the SW Champs a couple of years ago having not done any regionals and came away with a podium finish and a trophy so maybe that's what's underlying this possible ruling, ie. to stop me entering again.

Second bike is discounted, from £15 to £10 but no family discount that I've seen mentioned anywhere. Dispensation is always available at a price Ady; how much were you offering?? :? The use of a pre-reg system is being looked at I believe which would reduce entry fee to £12 plus a 60p admin charge. How much other regions are charging I don't know but no doubt we'll see details in due course once AGMs have been held and pricing agreed.

Fern, the qualification for Brits is set by BC and unless they change things it'll be 5 as per previous years.

In the EA it has been £8 and £12 for 2 bikes, for quite a few years.
I think it may be £10 and £15 for 2 bikes in 2013, which is still cheap at half the price.
5 bob and a pickled egg is my usual dispensation fee but,

£15 is a bit steep!! i think everyone should get there money back if the race meeting isnt all done and dusted by 4pm,this may make going to a regional a bit more appealing and bearable.anyone agree?
