Novice number plate confusion

Postby PJ683 » 17 Nov 2014, 11:23

My boys did their first race at the weekend as 8-9 novices – I now need to get them plates but confused as to the colours and numbering. They will only be doing regionals as novices next year I'd think.

1. Should the background be yellow or white? Or doesn't it really matter for south regionals??
2. If I use the last 3 digits of their BC licence no. and it starts with a zero, how does it work ie. 095 or X95 or 95?

Many thanks

You can usually race any numbers in novice but to make things easier, and stop the need to buy again when they do hit expert, I'd go with black numbers on yellow background and last 3 digits of membership number, eg mine is 084. This will also help avoid clashes.

i raced any Number
different to my BC number also, as long as there isn't the same number in your class you can race any number you wish.
you don't have to be given a number..

the last three BC are just that so 052 or 099 it is..
my kids race their BC numbers but i race my own number i chose at the time..

So is yellow background ok for regionals? Can you have logos & stuff on your plate for regional?
