British BMX Series Rounds 8&9- Birmingham info

Hi, here is the full information you need for Rounds 8 & 9 of the National series at Birmingham, Perry Park on 1st -3rd August 2014.

Team and Club Gazebo booking:

To book a pitch please email Birminghambmxgazebo@gmail.com with the following information of where you would like a spot.

Non trackside area
3m-£10, 4.5m-£15, 6m-£20
or
Trackside (1st Straight and Berms 1&3)
3m-£20, 4.5m-£30, 6m-£40

We will do our best to accommodate everybody’s requests but we cannot guarantee trackside for everybody.

We will then confirm your booking and let you know how to make payment once we have received your requests.
Payments can only be paid in advance and your pitch will not be confirmed until payment has been received.

Camping and Car Parking:

Camp site will open at 2pm on Friday 1st and will cost £25 for the weekend. The £5 increase is to cover additional security following feedback from last year’s events.
The campsite must be vacated by 8pm Sunday evening.
Camping is on the grounds of Perry Park and will be clearly signposted. Toilets & showers are at Alexander Stadium. Fresh water and waste disposal points are provided.
Entrance to site will be manned 24 hours a day.
All campers will be provided with rubbish bags, please dispose of in allocated area.
Security will be provided overnight on Friday and Saturday. Please be vigilant.

Camping pitches be pre-book only. There will be limited to 200 spots so please ensure you pre-book as we cannot guarantee a camping spot if you just turn up on the day.

When booking can you please include the following on the paypal payment:

Camping, Motorhome, Caravan


Your paypal receipt will be your booking confirmation so please bring this with you on arrival.
Camping must be booked & paid for by Sunday 27th July, to guarantee a pitch. We will not be talking any bookings after this date.

Car Parking :
This will be located at Perry Park and will be clearly signposted and cost £6 for the weekend. Tickets will be provided & must be displayed when re-entering the car park or camp site.

Other info:
Catering vans will be on site with Burger van and a Healthy Options van.
Birmingham BMX Tuck shop will be open for cold drinks, snacks and lots of other lovely treats.
There is Subway and Perry Park News opposite the track. The Church Tavern pub will also welcome any hungry and thirsty people.
There are take away Pizza, Chinese & Curry restaurants on the Aldridge Road.
There is also a cashpoint & small convenience store at Subway, at junction of Church Lane & Aldridge Road.
The nearest Supermarket is Asda at Queslette which is about 2 miles away.
Traders will on site from Friday so you can get all your BMX needs.
There will be a raffle with major prizes- tickets will be available at the green containers.
Smoking and Dogs:
Please be aware that there are no dogs allowed in perimeter green fencing. We operate a no smoking policy and we will have a designated smoking area near to the culvert / stream away from the track entrance. This will be clearly sign posted

Friday Schedule:
The track will remain closed until official practice begins. Practice is from 5pm-7.45. Cost is £3 per rider. Each rider will be provided with a band as proof of payment.

Friday practice is;
5-5.55pm 12 and under
6.-6.55pm 13 and over
7-7:45pm junior and elite

If you would like to get some early practice in then don’t forget the track is open and run by the Birmingham BMX Race Track Team on a Wednesday and Thursday evenings and also Saturday and Sunday. They also take private bookings. For further information please contact them via Facebook.

Track address:
Post code B42 2LR, the Birmingham BMX Track is in Perry Park, on the corner of Church Road and Aldridge Road. We are on the other side of the Park to the Alexander Stadium.
From the South via the
- M40,M42,M6 Jct 7
- M1, M6, Jct 7
From the North East
- M1, M42, M6, Jct 7
From the North West
- M6, Jct 7
From the South West
- M5, M6 South, Jct 7

- Follow signs for Birmingham along the A34 Walsall Road
- Go through the first main set of lights (cross junction)
- Go through the second main set of lights (cross junction)
- At the 3rd main set of lights turn left into Church Road.( this is approx 2 miles from the motorway)
- Follow this road down until you come to the church and the entrance to the parking is opposite, on the left.

What are the timings for practice on saturday and Sunday + when does pre reg finish on Saturday??? can't see it on British Cycling. Thanks
