Postby Smartihawk » 26 Dec 2011, 15:21

Is anyone running a brake booster on their BMX at the moment?

no, but i used to, i actually saw it in the garage earlier as i was rummerging through a box of old knee pads :|

anyhooo, why you ask? they only really work best if your brake is mega powerfull, and its spreading the rear triangle.

I recently converted an SE STOUT 29er into a big BMX, with 26" Aerospoke wheels, and a rear disc brake. But now the rear V-brake mounts are exposed and look kinda unsightly. So I was thinking of covering them up with a Brake Booster, which will double-up as a frame-stiffener too.

This guy has started making nice-looking Brake Boosters again..... They look lovely; so I ordered a couple direct from him.
