the brits are open races, you just have to qualify by doing a few rounds..
it's like saying any old tom dick or harry turning up to a worlds event and making themselves and their team or country look like idiots..
the brits is just that, it's a regional battle to find out which region is the best, those riders that qualify are generally ones who ride regular and are of expert level..
so no novices, no one off's just trying it for a laugh..
but seasoned racers racing as a region for their region,

it might sound elitist but not as elitist as the worlds where you get chosen because of your ranking..
can you imagine any old wanna go racer turning up at the worlds ??

anyone can turn up to club events and that said even turn up and race at regionals as novice or expert, you don't even need a race licence, just a BC membership..
so anyone interested has plenty of events they can turn up to, just the major competitions, brits, euro and worlds and i think regional champs are solely for expert seasoned racers..
