... do you remember me paul?...neil armstrong used to go racing with my dad (r.i.p)and marc thompson, and his dad barry :D ,bump into linda and jeff holland a fair bit!

Have you got a picture, I recognize all the names and I would know Jeff and Linda Holland if I saw them, I remember faces much better than names, it's funny how you expect people to still look how they did twenty odd years ago.

Darren Kirkbride (might have spelled that wrong), he was an awesome rider, rode diamond back, I was wondering if he rode for Northallerton.

Paul there was another good N'allerton rider maybe in the year below you but I just can't remember his name, grrrrrr

That's him, I had a feeling his name was a bit unusual, well remembered, cheers Peter.

I seem to think there was another lad called Christian but I can't remember if he had anything to do with Northallerton.

looking at a few threads i remember Paul Gray very well, a year or two older than me and a lot faster too (got a great pic of you actually at a Teeside national jumping the doubles elbow to elbow with Andy Ruffell.)

Thanks Howard, what a great photo :D

80's BMX superstar jumping Teeside doubles.

Also featuring Andy Ruffell(1UK), Andy Lincoln (2NE) and Rich Shuttleworth (1NE)

If I'd had a lighter helmet I might even have had the lead

11th March 1984, damp conditions, 17+ race.
I came 3,4,1 in my moto's, Ruff won the main with a troublesome young upstart called A.Lincoln taking 2nd
